LearningExpress Library is now offering updated Computer Skills Tutorials in subjects including Office 2007, Office 2008 (for the Mac), WordPerfect, Windows XP, and Mac Leopard.
If you can’t make it to one of the Heights Library’s tutorials or classes, or you need instruction on something we don’t cover, check out these free online resources. They come in several levels (basic, intermediate, and advanced), and you can learn at your own pace as they walk you through the software with Flash animations.
To get to LearningExpress, go to the Heights Library website (www.heightslibrary.org) and click on Do Research (under Services). Then select Learning Express Library from the drop-down list and click Submit. The tutorials are located in the Computer Skills section of the LearningExpress site. You can access LearningExpress from home as long as you have an Ohio library card.
NOTE: In order for tutorials to run on your computer, you need to have Adobe Flash version 8 or higher installed. There are instructions on the LearningExpress site to walk you through the process of setting this up if you need help.
Thanks to Web Library Manager Amy Harmon for letting me know about these updated tutorials!
