Our annual Staff Day was first created in 1979, and in the past 38 years we have used this day to energize, educate, and refresh our staff and keep them up-to-date on current trends in the library field in order to better serve our patrons and our community. In past years library staff have explored a wide range of issues including: human trafficking, services to refugees, customer service, readers advisory, e-readers and e-books, and other forms of emerging technology. We also take this day to recognize the achievements of our past year and to create plans for future services based on our strategic plan. Please enjoy these pictures from our past Staff Day training sessions, and remember that the library will be closed this Friday, September 15th 2017. Our normal hours will resume on Saturday.
