Generally I like books that take me on an emotional roller coaster, so they don’t tend to fall into a “happy” category. But this one is an exception:
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
Alongside many others, I read this book as part of Tumblr’s Reblog Book Club. It was my first Rainbow Rowell, and therefore my introduction to the best, most hilarious dialogue I’ve ever read. Rowell likes to make her characters good at writing dialogue, and I smirk every time that’s mentioned because I know it’s an extension of herself. This book is light and joy and good coffee and late nights online and when you finish reading it you just want to hug it. That’s all. It makes me happy.
